Dress For A Summer Wedding In Cool Breezy Wedding Gown!Choosing a dress for a summer wedding is quite different than choosing a winter-wedding gown. Your summer dress should reflect your personal style, keeping the overall formality of your wedding in mind. It’s also important to consider the season –The gown you choose to walk down the aisle in sets the tone for your event. Having a relaxed garden celebration? Wear something a little more casual, such as a tea-length cocktail dress. If you are planning a more formal affair, you’ll want your gown to reflect this, so start trying on the gowns that have lots of detailing, embellishments, and fancy embroidery!
Look for lightweight, breathable materials when you are searching for your wedding dress, such as chiffon, organza, like silk, or even cotton. Remember, you will be wearing your gown for several hours, so comfort is key. You don’t want to be uncomfortable during photo shoots, the ceremony, or the reception!
While it’s important to think about the temperature outside when you are selecting your gown, the most important thing is that it makes you feel like a princess! For a summery look, consider wearing a gown that has some hits of unexpected color, such as a bright sash or bold embroidery. You can also get away with much more informal (and comfortable) footware, donne a pair of sparkly flip flops to walk down the aisle in. Some summertime brides have even been know to go barefoot down the aisle. (try doing that as a winter bride....not so much)
![]() Accessories for Summer Wedding Dresses Winter brides might take the cake when it comes to accessories, but summer brides can have lots of fun in this department as well! You won’t need a shawl (hopefully!) but brightly colored pashminas are fabulous gifts for your bridesmaids! A parasol will keep you cool in the shade and add major panache to photos – for a funky look, choose parasols that come in bright colors like fuchsia! Other hot accessories? Fans, umbrellas, and lots and lots of fresh flowers! A fun bright colored dress for your flower girl and your bridesmaids also work well if you plan on having a summertime wedding. Whether it's a tropical affair or you plan on getting married in a summertime meadow filled with flowers, have fun with it. Use your imagination and your own personal style to create a day you and your guests will never forget.
Remember you don't want to glow to much on your wedding day, but it's hard not to sweat when it's 105 degrees outside. Try a clinical strength antiperperant to keep you fresh all day long. Follow the instructions and put it on before bedtime the night before, I find them more effective if you do not put more on in the morning. Summer brides have a special glow, and finding a dress for a summer wedding will complete your look! Return from dress for a summer wedding back to summer wedding dresses page...
