A Royal Wedding Dress Fit For A Princess!

Are you looking for a royal wedding dress fit for a princess?Have you always been fascinated by kings, queens and all things related to royalty?

If so, I imagine that you would probably find it very interesting to learn more about which royal wedding dresses were worn by various female members of the royal family throughout the years.

In 1947, Princess Elizabeth wore a wedding dress that was simply exquisite. The talented designer Norman Hartnell made most of the clothing that belonged to the Queen, and it was he who was commissioned to create Princess Elizabeth's wedding gown.

Hartnell had less than three months to make the dress, and with such a tight deadline I imagine that he was probably under quite a bit of stress.

However, he still managed to do an extremely good job on it. This royal wedding gown was constructed out of satin that had been imported from China, and the intricate embroidery on this dress was simply gorgeous.

Norman Hartnell also was the designer that created Princess Margaret's royal wedding dress when she was married in 1960. This particular wedding dress was made out of silk organza, and the simple yet elegant look that this dress embodied made it absolutely stunning. Rather than having a separate court train, her wedding gown had a train built right into it. And of course the most recent royal gown in the news is Kate Middleton's wedding dress. It was a simply elegant design that had Kate written all over it. A beautifully understated wedding dress that was so elegant and refreshing to watch. Kate just glowed with happiness in this gown beaming at her handsome Prince William. It was a delight to watch them tie the knot in front of over two billion viewers world wide. She will make a delightfull addition to the royal family.

Jumping ahead to more recent times, let's take a look at Princess Camilla who was wed to Prince Charles in the year 2005. As many of you may know, Prince Charles was formerly married to the late Princess Diana.

It is very interesting to note that Princess Camilla broke tradition by wearing not just one royal wedding dress on her wedding day, but she actually donned two different dresses for her special affair.

Robinson Valentine was the designer that created both of Princess Camilla's wedding dresses. At their civil ceremony, Camilla wore a simple white chiffon dress that had a matching embroidered coat that she wore over it that was made oyster silk.

For her second wedding dress that she wore to the blessing, Princess Camilla wore a beautiful full length dress that was a lovely light blue shade. This dress featured hand painted designs and it also had gold thread work embroidered.

Then in my opinion the most beautiful princess, who wore the most spectacular gown in the wedding of the century was Princess Diana. Diana was the royal bride that cemented my fascination for wedding dresses for years to come.

I can close my eyes and picture the dress in all its glorious details. She is truly still the People's Princess, still missed by so many and always will be.
