The location of your wedding might also play a role in the style of wedding dress you choose. But don't limit yourself just because of location or weather, don't say no to a dress right away: say yes to the dress because it might just work with a little bit of planning ahead. If you plan on getting married say at the beach in a tropical location, you might want to consider a sleeker maybe even shorter style gown.

Or maybe you want a beach wedding with a cinderella ballroom style gown, this is fine too. Just know you might be a little sandy by the end of the day! But with a little preperation and maybe a carpet or two to walk down the ailse on, it can be done. Many beach resorts are set up for this in just this way.

Color is another very important element in dress choice. Wedding dresses come in just about any color you can imagine. So you can say yes to the dress in any color of the rainbow!

One of my favorite color choices in recent years is the black and white dress. There is great meaning in choosing these colors. The black signifies till death do us part, while the white represents celebration and new beginnings. Designers have come up with some beautifully elegant choices in this black and white theme. It's easy to say yes to the dress with this choice.

If you want to stay with traditional white for your dress that's fine, there are hundreds of gorgeous white wedding dresses to choose from. But in recent years color has become an extemely popular choice for brides.

Red is a fabulously bold choice for the modern day bride. There are so many red wedding dresses to choose from. Mia Solano has designed some absolutely exquisite red wedding gowns. They are works of art. She is one of my favorite wedding dress designers, her dresses are absolutely beautiful for very reasonable prices. If red is your favorite color, than why not choose this for your wedding gown. It will truly be a dress to remember.

Maybe you would rather have a soft feminine pink wedding dress. Cinderella ballroom gown style dresses are a fabulous choice for a pink dress. This is truly a princess style wedding gown in this color, and I love fairy tale endings!

There are many shades of pink gowns, from pale dainty pink all the way to all out bold fushia...have fun with your choice. There are many designers that do pink wedding dresses, the choices are limitless.

Both bridal stores and online bridal stores have a huge selection of colored wedding gowns. There are many more choices other than just red and pink. There's blue, purple, yellow, green, orange...yes I did say orange! You get the picture...there is a lot of choice today. :-)

After you choose your style and color, next comes fabric choice. Are you having a winter wedding or a summer wedding? Consider maybe velvet or taffeta for your winter wedding gown. Silk and satin are light and perfect for a summer or spring wedding. Have you considered an all lace dress, there are some beautiful styles made with all lace.

Found your style, color and fabric, Say yes to the dress! Once you find what you are looking for you will know it as soon as you try it on. Don't limit yourself to just bridal salons though. Try lots of dresses on, than when you find one you like come back to your computer. Sales people make good commissions on selling you your dream gown, and trust me they know how to close a sale!

When I was looking for a wedding gown, I fell in love with a bonny designed halter gown with just the right amount of bling on it for me. It was $1700 CAN. Upon doing a little bit of research on the internet I found the exact same gown for $499 US. Now even with the exchange rate, customs (duty tax) and alterations it was still going to be a savings of about $700-800 CAN. My dress was discontinued last year in the fall :-( But this is just one of hundreds of designer gowns you can save on if you do the research.

The same can be said for bridal accessories. A lot of online bridal stores run great promo's with free veil and bridal shoes included with purchase of a wedding gown. All these little extras can add up quickly, so do your research, it can save you hundreds of dollars. So say yes to the dress, because this shopping trip will probably be the most fun you've ever had shopping!
